High pressure dewatering
WinklePressTM WPH
The WinklePress WPH was developed for high pressure dewatering of residual materials, principally of paper sludge. This press completes the concept for thickening of sludges with the WinklePress WPN or the TurboDrain TDC. With the WinklePress WPH dry solids contents of more than 60% can be achieved.

Costs for disposal will be reduced drastically. This allows incineration in power plants without sustaining fire so that for the first time paper sludge can be used as energy source.
Bellmer WinklePress WPH
Due to the special characteristics of sludges with a high proportion of minerals or fibres, intensive forces are required for thickening and dewatering to high final dry solids contents.

To apply these forces several process steps have to be performed. Bellmer developed an extraordinarily favourable distribution system especially for the WPH, which ensures even spreading of the sludge over the entire belt width. In the pre-dewatering area the pressure is gradually increased until the sludge is dewatered in the high-pressure section with highest press forces. This press section has been optimized particularly for the WPH according to test results.

As for all WinklePresses the respective graduation of the roller diameters is of crucial importance here.
