Improved board quality at Pankaboard, Finland Retrofitted dilution technology on BM 3
Bellmer Vaahto has received a significant headbox retrofit order for the rebuild of BM3 at PankaboardOy, located in Lieksa, Eastern Finland. The mill operates two machines which produce pa-ckaging and graphic papers with demanding end-uses which require high levels of stiffness and excellent printability. BM3 focuses Pankawhite and Pankabrite coated cartonboard grades.
Bellmer Vaahto has recently delivered similar headbox dilution rebuilds to Stora Enso Ingerois and Fors mills as well as two machines for Asia Paper in Korea and to MudaKayang in Malaysia.

Bellmer Vaahto´s dilution technology will be installed in BM3’s middle layer headbox to improve further the reshaped board quality.

The rebuild is a logical next step following recent efforts and investments targeted at enhancing cross-directional profiles and bulk.

The delivery is scheduled for this year’s annual midsummer shutdown.
